Tuesday Night Date With Husband

Here are 5 things you don't need to know but I'm gonna tell you anyways:

1. I didn't realize how unflattering these pants were on me, until I was posting pics for this post.

2. #1 will not stop me from wearing them again.

3. Husband does NOT like to be photographed unexpectadly.

4. We had THE BEST fried calamari last night.

5. Before going into the restaurant for our date, I made husband walk with me to Zara so I could buy something. Husband is awesome. He did, and didn't even complain.

God bless,

Jules

And I'm home

So we're back from New Orleans. Good times, good times.
We actually got back yesterday morning, but I have been so incredibly lazy since I came back. I don't know how to get my pump back to pumping!! I have a list of things I need to get done this week but it has so far been untouched.

Our second day in NO was so hot and humid I really regretted wearing that white shirt but because I didn't pack smart {4 outfits to wear with boots when I knew it would be low 80s all weekend} I had sweaty underarms all day. lol {TMI? sorry!}

You can practically see the humidity in this picture.

Ah-mazing!!

It's good to be home.
Husband and I are going on a hot date tonight.
 I'm excited.

God Bless,

Jules

Taking it easy in the Big Easy....

Okay, So New Orleans is... different. But different isn't always a bad thing. It's different than what I had in mind.
I love it though. It's rich in history, culture and has GREAT food.
It is also dirty, smells of urine, and old in some parts. But I think the culture compesates for all of the above.  Me & the husband went to Bourbon Street today and saw many people drunk {like, barely-walking-straight-drunk} at noon! We thought it was hilarious.  Needless to say, We've been having a great time!!
However, the weather has NOT cooperated with me. It has been 85degrees alllll day long. Too hot for boots. But I actually put them on, walked outside and just felt too silly wearing them when everyone else had on booty shorts and flip flops. So thank goodness I brought some flats and some 'light-weather' clothes.

Bourbon St.

I wanted to post some pictures the city but it's taking fooooorrrr-evaaaaa to upload! So maybe tomorrowI can share a little New Orleans with the world. ;)

Down to the Big Easy

Bags are packed. Snacks are ready. Road trip music is on.
We are off to New Orleans!!!
yiipee!!!

Can you feel my excitement??
I have never been, so I really am excited. I'm not sure what to expect. I am hoping for cooler weather {I already checked 20x and that 80 is not going down } but I'm still praying it's at least cool enough to wear my new boots!
I have about 4 outfits that go with my boots and if it's really hot my feet are gonna be toaaasty! I'm hoping to take some really good pictures and eat some really good crawfish. I already have a list of restaurants I want to try. I hope I get to all of them.
So off we go...

Have a great weekned,

Husband Needs Photography Classes

Can you see why?

So I asked the husband to shoot some pics of me and well, I wish I hadn't. I love the man, but he has no idea what he's doing. He managed to get all my bad angles in one single photo shoot. I guess it's a gift. An ordinary gift that no one wants. I'm still thankful that he was willing to try. {Thank you baby} I guess we will have to work on it. Hopefully, we will have some improvements. We shall see.

Good night!

God blesssssss,

Jules

7 sweet months

So it's been a sweet, short, seven months since I got married {April 18, 2010} and so far
I. LOVE. BEING. MARRIED.
Everyone says the first year is the hardest so I'm not gonna lie I was a little fearful of the first year. Well, we are halfway into our 1st year and it's only getting better!

The husband looking so yummy!

We had such a good time at our wedding; we talked about it for weeks after! It wasnt just the happiest day of my life but the funnest!! All of our family, friends, and loved ones together to celebrate 'us'. Makes me want to get married again {to the same husband, of course}...

God bless,

Jules

My Fall Wish List

I thought I would compile a list of some things I want  need for fall!
{secretly hoping/wishing husband will read/bookmark this post}

1). Okay, so I have no, none, nada, photography skills whatsoever. But I still feel like I neeeeed a more 'grown up' camera. Right now, my camera is a joke {the lens are broke and I have to open it with my fingers and of course, it doesn't always want to open. So most times I have to actually smack it against my hand and hope for the best} If I want my blogging skills to improve, I must get a Nikon DSLR.

Nikon D3100 14.2MP Digital SLR with Extra 55-200mm Non-VR Lens with, wait for it...a camera bag!!

2) So I know you guys are gonna think I'm crazy, but since it is a 'wish' list {and the hubby may be seeing this} I felt it was important to put it on in here. I. am. in love. with this bag! If you read my last post and can recall my new obsession with anything Camel then you can see how this is the icing on that cake!! Mulbery Bayswater in the lovely Camel Glossy Buffalo Leather bag. (((sigh))) it's love...

Mulberry Bayswater Camel Bag

 3) So back down to reality. I have really been wanting some military style boots. I have been seeing them everywhere and they're definately on my get-soon list. Here are a few I found from Aldo & Jessica Simpson shoe collection...
Aldo up top
Jessica on the bottom

4) Also need some flat boots...

Reaaally loving these from Famous Footwear
Currently On sale!!! :)

These are also pretty awesome.

5) Last but not least, just in case it rains....

Hunter Boots for rainy times! Eventhough, now that I think about it, I can't remember the last time it rained in Atlanta!
Still good to have is what I say ;)

Just thought I'd share with you {and the husband} some of the things I have been wanting needing lately.
A vacation would also be nice. Maybe I'll add that to next week's wish list.

God bless,

Jules

What I wore...

...to church. I am loving all things neutral and camel. It's taking everything in me to not turn my wardrobe into a neutral fest. Or a black and white movie. Or a sepia tone picture. This skirt was my lastest camel buy. I loved everything about it. It was classy, sexy, and camel all at once! What else could I ask for!

 Have a great week!!
